In My Head
Robert Lamm's long-awaited solo album "In My Head" has been released.
A bootleg has been circulating for some time, but this release is the real deal.
It is the third solo album from the founding keyboardist/vocalist of Chicago, who has written many of Chicago's classic hits, such as "Beginnings," "Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is," "25 or 6 to 4" and "Saturday in the Park."
It is on the Warner Brothers/Lightyear label. Lamm produced the album along with John Van Eps and Phil Ramone.
Phoebe Snow guests on one song. Other artists featured include Carl Wilson (Beach Boys), Gerry Beckley (America), Van Eps, and Ross Traut.
Also included is Lamm's solo version of "Sleeping in the Middle of the Bed," a song from the unreleased "Stone of Sisyphus" album.

A late '80s, early '90s Lamm solo effort was "Life is Good in My Neighborhood." It features another Stone of Sisyphys song, "All the Year," and a song that was considered for a Chicago album but didn't make the cut: "When Will the World Live as Lovers."
