Chicago NewsUpdated March 21,2006
It's been 15 years since Chicago released an album of all-new music. Today was the official release of XXX, Chicago's return to making new music. Most fans know the details: mostly recorded in Nashville, produced by Jay deMarcus of Rascal Flatts, dominated by songs by Jason Scheff, Bill Champlin and deMarcus. There are NO Jimmy Pankow songs. However, Pankow's horn arrangements are as good as ever. An army of studio musicians contributed to this album, including monster guitarist Dan Huff and Nashville studio mainstay Tom Bukovac, also a guitarist. I'll offer up a review soon. Here's a link to a story about the album in the Chicago Sun-Times: Chicago article in BillboardHere's a link to a Chicago story in Billboard: Chicago playing new single in concertChicago has been playing the song "Feel" in concert recently.
