School is winding down. I'm a Visual Communications teacher at Columbia Central High School in Columbia, Tenn.
This can be one of the best or worst times of the school year. Students are wanting to shut down, but there still is much work to be done. Also, one doesn't want to waste class time.
My students recently have enjoyed learning the basics of animation using Toon Boom Studio. They are very creative, although the violent content of many of the videos bothers me.
We also are doing much work with digital photography and studio work. We plan to offer a comprehensive studio lighting certification program next year. It should be very exciting and valuable to the students.
